I used a mock-up Amnesty International poster that I had made a few years ago as the base idea for this.
The poster addressed internet censorship in China.
Not much of the original design remains intact, but the message didn’t change one bit.

Stop SOPA and PIPA!
Thousands of sites have gone dark today in protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act and Protect Intellectual Property Act.
Contrary to what their names lead you to believe, SOPA and PIPA are immense threats to free speech, creativity, innovation, and security on the web.
These acts are being voted on very soon, so please take the time to contact your representatives TODAY and urge them to reject both SOPA and PIPA!
Here are some ways you can take action:
- Wikipedia has created a simple utility on their main page to find all of the contact info you need for your representatives.
- The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has created a form that will email your representative a pre-written (but feel free to change it or add to it) letter.
- Google has built a simple petition page and an accompanying infographic.

Just do something.
I’m begging you guys. Take 15 minutes (or less if you don’t have the time to call) and make a difference! Please do as much as you can to fight these acts! If you are not a citizen of the United States, Reblog this! What affects us on the web will affect the entire world!
